15 to 23 September in New Zealand is the Department of Conservation’s annual NZ Conservation Week. We would like to celebrate NZ Conservation Week with a photo contest. We have some fantastic Kepler Track Prizes to be won by simply sharing with us your favourite New Zealand hiking snaps!
We would love to help you remember your kiwi hiking highlights from over the years. Sharing your experiences is a fantastic way to keep the dream alive, and with Summer on its way there is a raft of opportunities to get out there and create some new memories!
Easyhike is here to help you do that! WIN our Kepler Track Premium Package (our all inclusive hiking package), one of our awesome prizes up for grabs in our photo contest. All you need to do is share your favourite NZ hiking photo/s and caption them for us (where was it taken, who were you with, why is it your favourite, or some witty retort!)
Share with us on Facebook (@easyhike.nz) or Instagram (@easyhike), using our hashtag #easyhikenz. Each hiking/tramping/walking photo is another entry! Details below…
GREAT WALK SEASON IS COMING UP – SPOTLIGHT THE KEPLER TRACK
The Fiordland Great Walks are many and varied. The great walks season starts at the end of October, traditionally after the NZ Labour Weekend public holidays. The season runs through the New Zealand Summer and finishes on the last day of April each year. The Great Walks (and many of the other less popular – and therefore less crowded trails) are a fantastic way to explore Fiordland and combined with a visit to Milford Sound, you can tick of many of the NZ Must do experiences in one area.
One of our favourite trails in Fiordland is also the newest Great Walk track in the New Zealand Great Walks portfolio. The Kepler Track was purpose built to showcase Fiordlands finest. It has the added bonus of being conveniently close to Te Anau and is able to be walked in a loop. The alpine section of the track has stunning views across Lake Te Anau and the Murchison Mountains. Large tussock filled valleys and fern covered forest floors beside the Waiau river are other highlights. The track packs a lot of punch and can be done in 2 nights/3 days with our Easyhike Packages.
We have awesome Kepler Track prizes up for grabs so that you can get out there and explore it for yourself!
